I wish I had seen this poll sooner, because by now you've probably already chosen. Nevertheless, it seems the right choice came out on top. Regardless, I'll say my piece for anyone else who stumbles upon this post.

Definitely go with PS4 on this one. The PS3 has so many issues with ARR it isn't funny, not least of all draw distance and loading time issues. If you try doing hunts on PS3 good luck loading into the zone before it gets killed. Not to mention better graphics on PS4 of course, as well as support for a keyboard/mouse combo if you want to use that (you will want a keyboard at least for chat, and the PS3 does support that I think). Also, the expansion that follows Heavensward will not be released on PS3 so it will only last you 2 more years.

Anyway, ARR the best MMO I have played, and one of the best FF games I've played as well. I'm currently working on finishing Final Coil before the expansion releases. And if you haven't finished the story yet DO IT BECAUSE EPICNESS.
